It does not work for me: After Installation I only find a CNQL2410_Driver.bundle

The scanner reacts after pluging in but I find no way to access the scanner.

I have read these posts and think this is all super helpful. However, I still cannot seem to get the driver to install properly. I follow the instructions and go to the correct Canon sites. Yet, when I search for the installed driver after restarting my machine (iMac, with OS 10.6.8), it is nowhere to be found. It's almost as if the driver never stays put, and therefore, I always get the error message that it cannot be found when I try to use my scanner.

Any help appreciated- thanks.

Erik, CS5 didn't ship with the TWAIN plugin included, you have to install it manually, more infos here: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/405/kb405072.html

You probably have to start Photoshop in 32bit mode for use with this scanner's old driver, cause it's a 32bit one.

This does not work. On the Console it says that IOKit is having trouble enumerating a device, right when I plug in the scanner. Is my scanner dead?

This article really got me close to getting my LiDE 30 to run under Leopard. What finally did it was these steps:

1. Run the Canon uninstaller & restart
2. Run the latest LiDE installer & restart
3. Open the "lide30osx7011en" image, and open the"Into Plug-in" folder.
4. Copy the "ScanGear CS 7.0X" plugin file into (in my case) Adobe Photoshop Elements 6/Plug-Ins/ImportModules folder
7. Start Photoshop & it worked!
