Firefox 3 Download Day on June 17, RC3 just for Mac OS X available

According to Mozilla’s Developer Center the official release date for the Firefox 3 will be Tuesday, June 17th. The release day is also Mozilla’s Firefox Download Day where they try to set a Guiness World Record for the Most Software Downloaded in 24 Hours and you can help them to achieve this goal simply by clicking or partying.
First of all you can pledge that you will download the new speedy Firefox 3 on Download Day. Next you could place some buttons or banners on your website like I did it on kremalicious.com. After that you may think that this event is probably a good excuse for a heavy party to celebrate Download Day + Firefox 3 Launch + Mozilla’s 10th Anniversary. Be sure to head over to Mozilla Party Central and register your party so other folks in your area get to know it. Finally the most important thing to do is downloading Firefox 3 on June, 17 from Mozilla’s website regardless of your condition caused by attending a Download Day party.
Meanwhile Mac OS X 10.5.3 caused an hang bug in pre-releases of Firefox 3 and the Mozilla Dev team had to seed another Release Candidate (RC3) with just one single change for Mac OS X users.
The best new feature (to me) especially for photographers and designers is Firefox 3’s support for color profiles. If you’re familiar with color profiles you already know that these give you powerful controls to get consistent colors across different monitors and systems. Safari was the only browser yet with color profiles support but with Firefox 3 color profile support comes to the masses and the Internet will become a color managed place too.
